“When it rains it pours." - Popular proverb
His influences are very diverse ; reaching from folk, pop, RnB, as well as soul or funk music. Obviously he takes a strong interest in the new HipHop and RnB scenes but it should also be noted that our French producer does not leave out Techno, House and Garage music.
“When Nude sent me the prod, I started to write stuff directly; humming tunes that went through my head. Everything turned into this song about a guy who remembers a girl he loved, remembering her fragrance. The guy in question remembers it and is obsessed with her unforgettable scent. He is invaded by this memory but he knows that this girl probably won’t ever come back. She is merely an idealized memory, not really a human: sort of an Alien. Coincidently, it is the name of the perfume she wore.”
This track has a soft and tender touch to it, with a soul-lifting up-beat transporting it’s listener to different horizons of hope and resignation. The quality of both the production and the voice fascinate the ear and while your eyes just want to shut, your body bouncing to this tangible feeling of empathy.
Jeune Faune has not released anything for a while. He admits that he a lot more of unreleased than released productions – that’s because he experiences a lot.
Jeune Faune is the first featuring on Nude’s EP Faces, with Alien. The Parisian producer actually comes from Orleans and has been shaping his musical knowledge for most of his life – even though he only started producing around 16-17 years of age.
“I told myself that I wanted to create "my own" music after listening for the first time to What Will We Be, the seventh album of Devendra Banhart,” articulates us our talented French artist.
For those of you who have been part of the Moose Fam for a while you already know this: the way we recognize talent is by sensing when an artist creates an elixir of their feelings and renders them into their musical creations with the utmost clarity for its listeners.
This feat with Jeune Faune is, in true Moose Records fashion, resulting in the collaboration of two artists who use music as a catalyst for their own feelings, concentrating them with as many details as possible in a single track.
“It is kind of a stress relief. I compose music with feelings so strong that I cannot manage alone. That's why I often get my influences in music where I find exacerbated emotions and sentiments”, he told us.
Stimulating & inspirational.
