Portrait #3 - Pierre Danaë
Between two individuals, harmony is never a given : it must be forever be conquered.
- Simone de Beauvoir
From our point of view this feat is a real triumph – a piece of art to be recognized and appreciated for it’s true artistic value. His voice will probably remind you of James Blake’s solemn and majestic soul, with a unique blazing and sorrow that ultimately grabs you by the bones and has you begging for more.
“I really enjoyed NUDE’s track in general, so I was pretty excited to chant this tune and I’m really proud to have collaborated with him, his EP is really astonishing. Artistically, it’s also a very interesting exercise.”
We are looking forward to hearing more of Pierre Danaë’s work in the future, as we believe this is a simple introduction of this amazing voice to the scene.
Make sure you follow him, we're already fans and you can expect some of his work to come out with Moose Records in the near future.
You might have guessed that by his name, but Pierre Danaë is a French artist that we have noticed a while ago at Moose Records for his dazing voice – some little birdy claims he’s related to Julia Losfelt, believe it or not.
For the same reason, we are really proud to have him on this track from Nude’s EP Faces and hope that you will be as stoked as we are by his voice.
Our Frenchman is a Political Science student who currently lives in London doing an internship in the musical Industry with Sofar Sounds.
“I’ve has a few gigs in London. My second one was at the Ronnie Scott's, in a folk/soul style, with influences from The Do to Sam Cooke, Father John Misty, Bon Iver, Radiohead, as well as Asgeir and Otis Redding.”
He admits this is the first time he’s been asked to sing on someone else’s production and that it took a lot of hard work to figure out exactly what he wanted to sing on this track.
Uplifting and insightful.
